Vision
The Department of Health Management aims to develop knowledge on the management of health services and organisations by providing education, training and research at undergraduate and postgraduate level and to be a leader in the field in Turkey.
Mission
The Department of Health Management aims to train professional health managers who can work at middle and upper levels responsible for administrative, financial and technical affairs needed in hospitals and health institutions in both public and private health sector. Within the framework of this purpose, it graduates a qualified workforce with knowledge about the general health policy of our country, the economic and managerial structure and problems of the public and private health sector, the characteristics and functioning of hospitals and other health institutions. In addition, to follow the scientific developments in the field of health management in the world, to recognise the problems specific to Turkey and to produce scientific knowledge that will solve the problems in the health sector.
Graduation Requirements
Aksaray University Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Health Management provides education with 1st and 2nd education programmes and the duration of undergraduate education is 4 years. In order for a student to graduate from the health management undergraduate programme, he/she must complete the undergraduate programme with a total of 240 ECTS in accordance with the European Union standards. In addition, they are required to complete summer internship practices of 20 working days each in the second and third year and Health Institutions Management Field Study practices in the spring semester of the 4th year. Students who successfully complete the programme are entitled to receive Aksaray University Faculty of Health Sciences Health Management Undergraduate Diploma.

Employment Opportunities of Graduates
Students who successfully complete their undergraduate education in the Department of Health Management have the opportunity to be employed in different fields. Graduates of the Department of Health Management can find the opportunity to make a career in the public and private sectors. The Ministry of Health and affiliated organisations, especially in various management levels of all Ministries, state-owned enterprises, various units affiliated to local governments and similar organisations, as well as the private health sector constitute the leading employment areas for graduates. In these institutions, they can perform professions such as manager and deputy manager, inspector, account specialist, auditor and specialist. In addition, if they get enough points from KPSS B group, they can be employed as civil servants in all public institutions. Our graduates also have the opportunity to work as academic and administrative staff in universities.
